Alice in Wonderland Wedding

`Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?'
`That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,' said the Cat.
`I don't much care where--' said Alice.
`Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.
`--so long as I get somewhere,' Alice added as an explanation.
`Oh, you're sure to do that,' said the Cat, `if you only walk long enough.'
(Alice's Adventures In Wonderland)

I was asked to make a wedding card with an Alice in Wonderland theme, I believe this was the theme of the wedding. Luckily I knew of these great images from Mo's Digital Pencil.

you wouldn't believe how long i just sat and looked at the image after colouring them to try and get some inspirations, seriously I think it was about 3 nights in a row just placing papers and the images down, shifting it around, adding flowers, taking flowers away...In the end this is my result.

Inside is the quote I've written at the top of this post. Thanks for looking x

Fathers Day

I have made a card for my dad on Fathers day which is on Sunday using all new stash! The stamp is called Pride and Joy and is by Lily of The Valley, the papers are Hampstead by Papermania (well done Sarah for noticing I'd used the wrong name for the papers!), the tag die is from sizzix and the gromlets are from making memories.

I was so excited to get my first order from my Blog, I was emailed and asked if I could do something similar to this card for a 1st birthday, wow I never expected someone to buy one of my cards after seeing them on here!

I have a whole weekend to myself as my other half is on a stag weekend so I am going to craft all weekend, cant wait!

Thanks for looking

Something Special...

My Niece Georgina was Christened on Sunday and me and my Boyfriend were God Parents to her. I bought her a silver clock in the shape of a teddy bear but also wanted to make something special for her to keep so when I came across the new Papermania chipboard albums I couldn't resist making her a scrapbook.

Luckily her parents had just had some pictures of her taken by a photographer so I used those.

I used MME Pretty Please papers throughout and have only shown small pictures as it would take up too much room on here. I loved making it so much I bought another one to do, just need someone to do it for now!
My SIL loved it and I hope its kept and looked back on with fond memories. The Christening was lovely and Georgina looked so cute in her dress, I'm so proud to be her Auntie!
Off to play with my new Lily Of The Valley Stamps that arrived this week!
Thanks for looking xx

Penny Black Happy Birthday

The theme at Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week was Lots Of Dots. I have made this card with DCVW papers (the dotty paper is under the ribbon!) and a computer generated sentiment.

I love the big bow on it, its unusual for a card of mine not to be covered in flowers!

Thanks for looking and have a happy bank holiday weekend all in the UK! x

Hi everyone!
In total contrast to my last card I have made a tiny 4x4 note card.

Grandparents Card

I made this card a while ago for my Mum and Dad on becoming grandparents for the first time, we didn't know what the baby was going to be at the time so it had to be appropriate for both a boy and a girl.

The image is from PC Crafter, my Dad used to have a moustache so it kinda looks a bit like him.

The papers are from a Papermania scrapbook kit, the rest is from my stash.

Here is the gorgeous Georgina, hope my SIL doesn't mind me posting a picture on here but she's too cute not to share with the world!

A Perfect Day

I have just finished making my boyfriends birthday card.

He's a gardener so this image from Mo Manning is perfect, I added a beard to it so it look more like him! I'm sure its his perfect day at work!

The image has been coloured with Copics. The papers and tag are from a Papermania scrapbook kit, the card is DCVW and the flowers are from Joanna Sheen. The sketch is from this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge.

The lovely weather we've been having has turned to rain today, I knew it was too good to last! Thanks for looking x

Sunday 18 April 2010

First of all sorry about the picture, I took it literally as we were leaving the house to go to the engagement party, we were already late because my other half decided to use a felt tip to write the card and ruined it so I had to take the inside out and put a new one in. I'd love to be one of these organised people who have lovely photographs of their cards with petal and things placed around- but I'm not at all organised, everything is last minute and time is in short supply at the moment with work taking up the majority of my time :(
The colours are white and a pale purple, not grey like the photo shows. I made the card with a computer generated sentiment, circle nesties, a Martha Stewart punch (cut and placed round the edge of the circle), Marianne Creatable flowers dies and wild orchids craft flowers and DCVW card.
I'm hoping to get some of the cards i made whilst without a camera back to photograph tomorrow so will be back to show you those. Thanks for looking x

In Between

How fab is this image by Mo's Digital Pencil! The challenge this week at Mo's Challenge Blog is wood so I have coloured the floor on the image to look like a wooden floor.

The patterned paper is from DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies stack, flowers are a mix of Papermania and Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon, pin and button are all from my stash.

I'm going to try and get my valentines card done tonight, that's if I can stop blog hopping and looking at all the wonderful craft blogs and get on with it.
